Idea / A simple, patriotic tribute
This little print opportunity turned into a very poignant moment. It was 2001. Oreo had landed a placement in the World Series program. We finished the ad in the summer. Then September 11th happened in the fall.
Life stopped in NYC. No one knew what to do. But once life slowly resumed, there was a magnificent sense of patriotism. And once the Yankees made it into the World Series, the City had something to cheer about again. The first pitch was thrown just seven weeks after the attacks and the series went to seven games. It was truly an honor to give those in attendance a chance to feel pride instead of sorrow.
